One week to the USATF Indoor Championships. Four weeks to the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships. Seven weeks to the Stanford Invitational and eleven weeks to the Payton Jordan Invitational. Nine weeks to the Boston Marathon. Best of luck in your training.
First is this article about antioxidants and training. The article touches on a point that Jeff Messer elaborates on in one of his talks from the August 3rd, 2013 Boulder Running Clinics (videos of that talk available in March). The point being – in many instances, the body’s natural response to a stress is good, and we should do our best to NOT get in the way of it. In this article, that natural response is the release of free radicals, and in Messer’s talk it is inflammation.
