I spent Friday at a rainy track meet in Longmont, Colorado. The St. Vrain invitational is one of the best track meets in the state, put on by Jeff Boele and Mark Roberts, two fantastic coaches and fantastic people.
I have four businesses that sponsored the meet, which meant I also got to set up a booth at the meet.
The Boulder Running Camps is a camp for high school runners I’ve been the director of for the past 15 years. It’s my baby. The two weeks of camp are the best two weeks of the year for me. We’re on track to have our biggest year ever and there is a good chance that both weeks of camp will be full. Here is our instagram page that gives you a flavor of camp. Adults should be jealous that there’s not a camp for them, but perhaps in the future there will be.
High School Running Coach is pretty simple in terms of what we offer coaches. 12 coaches share three months of training, do interviews with me, then answer questions via our interactive Q&A. It’s an amazing resource and has far and away more content than a coach can get at their local state clinic.
If you want to come to a clinic, the next Boulder Running Clinics offering is going to be amazing. It’s a high school coaches clinic, held July 24th and 25th on the University of Colorado campus, in Boulder. Steve Magness, Vern Gambetta, Charlie Kern and Dr. Richard Hansen are speaking. We record the clinics in HD and will be selling them in the weeks following the clinic. If you’re a high school coach, you will not only learn a great deal at the clinic, but you will have the chance to chat with other great high school coaches who will be in attendance at the clinic. Plus you get a free pair of shoes and you get the HD videos.
Distance Running Recruiting is the best resource for families going through the college recruiting process. The place to start is with our recruiting guide – you can get that when you join the mailing list. I’m putting on a seminar in June that will cover the ten items all families need to know about the recruiting process. There will be ample time for me to take questions and I’m looking forward to hearing what parents (and students) want to know when it comes to the recruiting process. If you want to know more, spend some time on the site – read the articles and read the interviews with coaches. And consider investing in the Essential Recruiting Resource.
Four great resources for high school runners, their parents and coaches.
I’m so lucky to be able to make a living in the running world. If you have questions about any of these offerings, just shoot me an email (see the contact link above).
